An unnamed Samsung official in reporting that preorders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III have already hit 9 million units. Reuters, which relayed the report, notes that Samsung’s South Korean factory is currently building the Galaxy S III at full capacity of 5 million units per month, according to the paper. Samsung’s Galaxy S III will launch in Germany on May 29th before rolling out in other markets around the world.

Oh dear, all this handbag fighting means Apple and HTC will be meeting the headmistress in her office on May 28th. “Just days after the ITC imposed a ban on the One X and EVO 4G LTE, the U.S. District Court of Delaware on Thursday ordered the Cupertino company and HTC to meet face-to-face on August 28 to work out its legal differences.” As TechnoBuffalo put it, in my words, they’re going to try to shake on it and make friends. We all know this isn’t going to stop here. Apple sue companies over anything they can, and it seems to be working so far.

It was only earlier this month Apple was called in to meet with Samsung to settle ongoing cases, which lead to Apple CEO Tim Cook admitting he isn’t enjoying the lawsuits, I bet he enjoys the rewards though!

All we can do now, is see what both companies agree to, I dislike seeing devices banned, I love the competition and passion it brings.

Rumour has it that Samsung’s Galaxy S III smartphone may launch in Japan with 2GB of RAM, doubling the standard 1GB demoed in London earlier this month. According to a spec sheet published by Japan’s NTT DoCoMo, the carrier’s Galaxy S III model SC-06D will feature Qualcomm’s dual-core S4, instead of a quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, 32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.

The poster in the picture above could just be a mistake, but who knows. We’ll come back to you in the future with more on the story, is this a misprint I wonder?

Today Samsung Mobile UK  announced that customers who have pre-ordered a Galaxy S III from the Samsung Brand Store at Westfield Stratford City will be able to collect their device the night before the official launch date of 30 May.

The Samsung Brand Store pre-order customers can get their hands on the new device from 6pm on 29 May. Early collection will only be available for customers that have pre-ordered from the Samsung Brand Store before 6pm on 29 May. The device will not be available to buy on May 29, this offer is for pre-order customers only. Pre-orders made after 6pm on 29 May, whether in-store or online, will be fulfilled from 30 May. Pre-orders from retentions or online will also not be delivered to customers’ delivery addresses until 30 May onwards.

Samsung is also giving its retail partners the option to make their own Galaxy S III pre-orders available early; an hour later from 7pm. The final decision will be contingent on individual retailers as to whether they make this offer available to their customers.

The Galaxy S III will be available to buy in the UK across all major networks, key high street and out of town electrical retailers, online retailers and the Samsung Brand Store at Westfield Stratford City on 30 May.

What if you’re not in London but you still can’t wait to get your hands on this quad-core Android powerhouse? Don’t jump on a London-bound train just yet, as the early bird offer may also be available in shops outside London. Samsung has told other retailers they can hand out pre-ordered phones from 7pm on 29 May, meaning that you’ll be just an hour behind the very first Londener to pick up their Samsung Galaxy S3. I will try and keep you posted on which shops decide to take up Samsung’s offer.

Virgin Atlantic Airways, has announced that its new Airbus A330 planes will offer passengers in-flight cellular services on flights from London to New York. The airline partnered with AeroMobile, which also has deals with Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Qantas and other airlines, but Virgin Atlantic will be the first in the U.K. to offer this service. Standard international roaming rates will apply and calls will be prohibited during take-off and landing.

Virgin said cell phones will not interfere with equipment since they will connect directly to a network at low power settings. The service will first be offered on flights from London to New York, but Virgin plans on bringing it to 10 routes and 17 planes by the end of the year.

With Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S III already available for pre-order on O2, Orange and Vodafone. As of today, you can now register for updates from T-Mobile.

T-Mobile UK are pricing the Galaxy S III at £36 per month for 2,000 minutes to any network, anytime; unlimited texts; and unlimited data. On this plan, however, you will have to pay an up-front free of £49.99 for the device.

Just like most occasions, they’ll come out with a more expensive contracts, to allow you to pay nothing for the device itself. In all honesty, £36 a month for a top mobile phone is a great deal.

Looks like Apple is finally putting the finishing touches on an entirely new 15-inch MacBook Pros. According to trusted sources in Apple’s supply chain, who have handled the prototype components and casings for the new Apple notebook, the computer is currently undergoing test production rounds. The new 15-inch MacBook Pro is coming this summer, and it features an ultra-thin design, a “jaw-dropping” Retina Display, and super-fast USB 3.

Is these a Part from the next-generation iPhone are beginning to ramp up, with component vendor SW-BOX.com having recently added a new headphone jack/earpiece/Wi-Fi cable part claimed to be from the device. The new part joins a claimed micro-SIM tray that surfaced on the site several weeks ago and home buttons that appeared on several sites late last month as well.

In the iPhone 4 and 4S, the headphone jack, volume buttons, and mute switch are grouped together on a single component, while this new part associates the headphone jack with the earpiece speaker and Wi-Fi cabling.

It is not terribly unusual for Apple to tweak the organization of components, and the new part leak offers essentially no information on any potential changes to the device’s form factor, but with part leaks beginning to accelerate it may not be long before more substantial parts begin showing up.

We’ll thanks to a new product that you wouldn’t find on Sixty Minute Makeover, we can no longer steal peoples Wi-Fi’s, unless they haven’t refurbished their apartment recently.

A new wallpaper blocks your Wi-Fi signal from leaking outside of your house, so yes, if you’re a garden lover, no more Facebook while sunbathing.

Developed by institut polytechnique Grenoble INP and the Centre Technique du Papier, this special wallpaper features a pattern of embedded silver particles that are arranged to block specific wireless frequencies, like the ones used by your router. Too clever for my liking.

One thing I’d like to clarify, this product won’t interfere with cellular signals. Do you password protect your home Wi-Fi network? If not, would you consider using something like this, or would you still leave it open to public ?

After a string of complaints across the world (notably in Australia and here in the United Kingdom) regarding Apple’s branding of the 4G-LTE compatible iPads, Apple has tweaked the name of their cellular-connecting iPad in some regions. The new name is simply “iPad WiFi + Cellular,” and this is a shift from the former “iPad WiFi + 4G” branding. All first-generation iPad and iPad 2 models with 3G-data connections were referred to as “iPad WiFi + 3G,” and the 3G model of the 16GB iPad 2 that Apple still sells is still called “iPad 2 WiFi + 3G.”

The source of the criticism of the 4G third-generation iPad models is the fact that the 4G LTE only functions in the U.S. and Canada, on a total of five carriers.  Apple dropped that marketing weeks ago, but this new iPad name change marks Apple’s full point of not trying to fool customers. Apple did not simply make this iPad name change in the affected Australia and UK regions, but they changed it in the UK, Australia, the U.S., Canada, UAE, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, Malaysia, Ireland, and Hong Kong.
