Do you use a lot of emoticons when you are texting? If the answer is yes, then you are going to love this app.

Dango makes the process of choosing the right emoticon to send so much shorter by presenting you with emoticon suggestions in a floating window style. The app simply appears while you are typing in a messaging app such as Google’s Messenger, Facebook Messenger, Viber, WhatsApp, and others.

Personally, I loved this app from the first moment I used it because I always find it hard to find the right emoticon in the context of what I am writing or it is very difficult to choose which emoticon to send. Oh, one more thing – Dango offers you GIFs as well. The app makes intelligent decisions of what you are saying by reading the chat window.

According to the developer of the app, it does not share your private conversations and the data only stays on your device.

Another amazing feature besides the emoticon/GIF suggestions is the app’s ability to replace your words with emoticons automatically (sort off). In order to make this feature work, you have to add a “cursor” symbol after every word you want to be emoticonsed.

This feature comes disabled by default so you will have to go to the settings by pressing the “Gear” icon on the top right-hand side of the initial screen of the app. This will take you to the settings screen. From there you check the “Word replacement” option at the very top of the settings menu.

If you decide that you do not want Dango to appear in certain apps you can easily filter where the app appears by going to the app settings and tap on the “Disable Dango in some apps” menu and you will see a list of the apps you have installed on your decide. Select the desired applications where you would want Dango to offer you emoticon suggestion.
